St Piers Residential Special School is delighted to announce that its residential provision has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, following a comprehensive inspection carried out from 11 to 13 March 2025.
Each term, students delve into specific art movements and styles. This term, they are exploring Futurism, an art movement that celebrates the power of technology, modern life, and the industrial city. Futurist artworks often incorporate collage techniques to depict technological advancements and use diverse materials to overcome the boundaries of traditional art.

Last week, we celebrated Nigerian Independence Day in our residential setting! 🎉 Our students had an amazing time wearing traditional Nigerian attire and enjoying delicious delicacies from various tribes of Nigeria. St Piers is a part of Young Epilepsy, a national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people living with epilepsy in the UK. Together, we've been at the forefront of a progressive, inclusive and nurturing approach to education and support for over 125 years.
We're overjoyed to announce that our college has achieved 'Outstanding Provider' status from Ofsted
St Piers has not been identified in the official list as published by the Department for Education and there is no evidence to suggest the presence of RAAC on campus. We are committed to the health and safety of all students and staff and will continue to investigate as further information on this issue is released from government.
