This national accreditation recognises the value of high quality work experience and employability programmes at St Piers College. Eighteen year old Ross is taking on the The One Show’s Rickshaw Challenge for BBC Children in Need. Ross, who has mixed aggressive epilepsy which can cause him to collapse multiple times a day, is one of six young riders cycling 470 miles from Jedburgh in Scotland to central London to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

The Howe Outdoor Gym and Games Area, was officially opened by Lady Howe in September, in honour of Lord Howe who was the Life President of Young Epilepsy, and dedicated over 40 years to the charity.

East Grinstead’s Abbie Hunnisett is the UK and European parasport F32 Club Throwing Champion. She has had a fantastic year and recently won bronze in Doha at the IPC Athletics World Championships.
This year’s College leaver’s ceremony as always was an extremely well attended event. Nicholson Hall was filled with proud parents, excited students and staff. Everyone was filled with emotion, happy to see their students flourish and ready to move on, whilst sad to see them leave.
A group of St Piers College students who recently completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award went snorkelling with sharks at London Aquarium on the 4 and 17 July.
