St Piers School were incredibly lucky to have a visit from a band called ‘City Bells’, an amazing band made up of four saxophonists.
The funding for this was arranged by ‘Music in Hospitals’ from the Peter Harrison Foundation. The band interacted with the audience and played songs such as James Bond, the Pink Panther as well as catchy songs from the 1940s.
The students learnt about how the instruments worked and how you play them during a workshop approach. During the concert students clapped and played percussion instruments along to the music and some even danced at the front with the musicians!
